MediaTek Dimensity 2000 may arrive at the end of 2020
MediaTek, which appeared in entry-level devices for a long time, started to show its presence in the middle-upper segment market with the Dimensity series processors.
It is among the leaks that the Dimensity 2000 processor will be equipped with Cortex X2 and Cortex-A79 cores. The processor, which is stated to be produced by TSMC with 4nm technology, will have a Mali-G79 graphic interface.
The new model, which will come up with lower power consumption and high performance thanks to 4nm technology, will consume between 20 percent and 25 percent lower power than its rival Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor. The processor, which is very assertive about battery optimization, exceeds expectations on paper.
Although MediaTek processors lag behind the Snapdragon series produced by Qualcomm in terms of performance, it is estimated that the company will break this chain with Dimensity 2000. It is stated that the new processor will have higher performance and lower power consumption than its rival.
It is among the claims that the Dimensity 2000 processor will be introduced in the last months of 2020 or in the first quarter of 2021.
