The Russian Team to Shoot the First Movie in Space, Launched Today

Two weeks ago, we talked about the team that will make the first film shot in space and their plans. To go over it again, the team will be sent to the International Space Station on the Soyuz MS-19 ship, where they will stay for 12 days and film the spacecraft. The team in question began its journey to Earth’s orbit today.

The spacecraft, carrying the director of the movie “Vyzov” (The Trial), Klim Şipenko, 37-year-old actress Yuliya Peresild and cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, was launched at 11:55 a.m. Turkish time today. The crew will stay there for 12 days, as some of the filming will take place on the International Space Station. The return will take place on October 17.

Spacecraft takeoff:

A team of actors, directors and cosmonauts launched from the Baikonur base in Kazakhstan with the Soyuz MS-19 rocket; recently arrived at the International Space Station (ISS). The Test, which will be the first feature-length fiction film to be shot in space, will tell the story of a doctor who travels from Earth to the ISS to save the life of a cosmonaut.

NASA previously announced that Tom Cruise will be launched into space with a SpaceX rocket and star in a movie there. Because Cruise had a dream to shoot the first movie in space. However, with this step of Russia, the famous actor was second. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov compared the US film and space industry, using the expressions “Space is a pioneering field, and despite everything, we are still ahead.” We look forward to seeing what the movie will look like.
