We have seen radical changes in many industries since the start of the pandemic due to COVID-19. For example, face-to-face education for years had to suddenly move to digital, and in some cases it was even more effective.

The same is true for the business world, which has largely moved to digital. Because, some employees in this sector realized that they can do the same jobs without leaving their homes when the necessary applications and services are provided. In addition to these two sectors, there is also a ‘transportation sector’, which has been deeply affected by the pandemic. Contrary to the others, the sector in question, which has been badly affected by the pandemic, is before us with statements that will prevent victimization.

Open tickets valid for 6 months will be purchased, and the 12-hour requirement will be removed:

Within the scope of the new type of COVID-19 measures of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it has brought a regulation that will prevent citizens traveling between cities from experiencing victimization. With the said arrangement, citizens will now be able to convert to open tickets, which can be done up to 12 hours before the departure of the buses, until the departure time.

The following words were included in the ministry’s statement:

“For passengers who have purchased a passenger ticket to travel by bus before, but are determined not to meet the age and PCR criteria before the start of the flight, an open ticket valid for 6 months can be issued, instead of the previously issued passenger ticket, until the start of the flight, until a second instruction.”

Previously, citizens could not convert their tickets to open tickets on the grounds that they could not meet the necessary criteria when there was less than 12 hours to travel.

What is an open ticket?

Open tickets do not have a specific expiry date. Instead, they offer the possibility of use within a certain range. Of course, when you say it like that, you may think, “Let’s get one, keep it aside”, but tickets are not issued as open tickets. First, a ticket is bought for a certain date and converted into an open ticket according to the conditions offered by the company.
