Planning to make an ambitious entry into the industry with Arc series graphics cards, Intel has recently launched Arc A380, one of the lower-end models of the series. PC Games Hardware, which managed to reach the new graphics card, which is slowly starting to open to the global market, shared the test results of the model in 50 games.

Results are good as expected

According to the tests carried out, we can say that the Arc A380 has serious problems with old games such as Half Life 2 and Max Payne 2, which do not use modern APIs. But it seems to perform flawlessly in 80 percent of games. Intel, which has recently changed its driver support model and accelerated its work, seems to have succeeded in doing better than expected.

Although Intel’s latest driver, released on August 19, fixed many issues with GPU compatibility and Control panel, it was heavily criticized by the reviewers. However, Intel Visual Computing Group Vice President Lisa Pearce said that the company will work to optimize Arc GPU performance for the DX9 and DX11 APIs, with DX11 catching up with DX12 performance in the future.

Next month Intel is expected to launch the Arc A7 models in its upper mid-range series, which will compete with high-end graphics cards. Although Nvidia and AMD will announce their new architectures soon, Intel can leave its competitors with an affordable price advantage.
