Sony, yesterday, announced that it increased the price of the PlayStation 5 console worldwide, upsetting the players who were already having a hard time economically. This news has led those who want to buy a new generation console to think that Xbox consoles will also be hiked soon. But if you belong to this group, at least for now, you can breathe a sigh of relief.
Microsoft has told Windows Central that it currently has no plans to increase Xbox prices. The statement reads: “We are constantly evaluating our work to provide our fans with a great selection of games. Our suggested retail price for Xbox Series S will be $299 and our Xbox Series X price will remain $499.”
Of course, this statement does not mean that prices will not increase in the future. But we know that we should not expect the same from Microsoft for now, especially after Sony’s price increase.
