It seems that Disney is determined to incorporate almost every brand in its possession with a new series or movie. This time, Disney is preparing to shoot the first series of the character by keeping an eye on King Kong. In this production, a new Kong will appear and the history of the character will be told.
The classic monster story will be adapted to the present day in the adventure series, which will be penned by Paper Girls creator Stephany Folsom. Throughout the series, we will explore the origin story of King Kong and the mythology built around this character. Meanwhile, the original work of Merian C. Cooper will be used extensively.
Alongside Folsom, the production team will also include Michael Clear, Rob Hackett and James Wan representing Atomic Monster, and Dannie Festa and Marc Manus representing World Builder Entertainment. Joe DeVito’s visual novel will also be used for production.
With its 90-year history and complex copyrights, a series of King Kong, which we have seen many times in movies, was tried to be made before, but that project was unsuccessful. Let’s see if Disney will be able to make a Kong series using the power it has.
