Nomad Protocol handed out the Nomad Whitehat Award. The hackers who attacked Nomad Bridge earlier this month are developing a new plan to recover funds from hackers with an NFT project inspired by Whitehat.

Nomad Conducts Work With Metagame

Nomad is partnering with NFT firm Metagame in the project it carries out to recover the funds stolen from hackers.

With Metagame, Nomad created the NFT collection inspired by a white magician’s hat. According to the proposal shared by Nomad, any hacker who returns at least 90 percent of the stolen funds will be eligible to receive it from this particular NFT. All returns will be verified using Metagame’s open source EVM-translator.

In a statement on the subject, Whitehat says:

“We support people who do the right thing, even for the wrong reason, and we hope things like this will encourage more people to do the right thing.”

Metagame founder Brennan Spear believes that recognizing individuals doing the right thing is promoting good future work for the benefit of society.

Despite all this, users reacted to Nomad’s tweet. Twitter users did not hesitate to criticize the proposal made to encourage “good donors” to return the funds they received during the bridge hack.

Metagame responded to the criticism as follows:

“This was Metagame’s idea and presented to Nomad by Metagame. Nomad has so many different things to focus on. Metagame’s focus is on NFTs”
