DeFi Kingdoms will launch an episode of its game called Serendale on the metaverse-focused blockchain Klaytn. This decision comes less than two months after the Harmony blockchain was targeted by hackers.
The company announced that it has found a new home on the metaverse-focused blockchain Klaytn for its Serendale-based portion of the blockchain-based game DeFi Kingdoms (DFK).
DeFi Kingdoms Decides to Leave After Ethereum Theft
A spokesperson for DeFi Kingdoms confirmed in an interview recently that this would mean leaving Harmony altogether. The decision comes two months after the Harmony Blockchain network announced an attack on Horizon, a cross-chain bridge to Ethereum. In the incident, hackers were involved with about 100 million dollars of ETH.
Only the first of DFK’s game maps, Serendale, will be affected by the decision, and Crystalvale will remain in the DFK Chain, an Avalanche subnet.
Kingdom Studios president Dreamer gave little detail on the terms of his new collaboration with Klaytn, though he admitted in a recent AMA (Ask Me Anything) that “this is another big chain paying for collaboration with DFK.”
