KHK TV reporter Büşra Taşkıran announced in her tweet series yesterday that a new regulation for street interviews has entered into force. Since the reporters who make these interviews ask questions in many fields from politics to technology, from social relations to entertainment, the videos of the interviews uploaded to YouTube are also watched a lot. KHK TV reporter Büşra Taşkıran stated on Twitter that during the last street interview they made, the police intervened in the situation and implied that such interviews would no longer be allowed. Street interviews have been made since the early days of television broadcasting in Turkey. Recently, street interviews have been conducted on different topics, especially on news channels on YouTube. But it seems that soon this will not be done freely.

Stating that she has been doing street interviews for 6 months, Büşra Taşkıran said in her tweet series that she shared yesterday that GBT was made to the team for the first time during the interview. Stating that this was repeated 3 times, Taşkıran included the following statements in his tweets: “The questions we asked the public were noted down and they forwarded them to their superiors. Even though they did not say “forbidden”, they spoke in a way that implied that street interviews would not be allowed anymore. ”

“I realized that they took our photo without permission when I saw my photo in the WhatsApp conversation flowing on the phone of the officer next to me, and when I stated that this was not true, they started showing the photos they took without permission, starting with @FOXhaber reporters. In other words, they took photos of all media members without permission. They also stated that in order to be able to conduct street interviews, it is necessary to have a press card given by the Presidency. They said this practice is a new order. It has been banned on its streets, my dear country…”
