After the bad news about Netflix’s upcoming ad-supported subscription plan, there is good news at last: This subscription option may also include some ad-free programs.
According to a new claim, Netflix will not display ads inside movies on some original content and premieres. It is thought that the reason for doing this is to keep the interest of filmmakers who are afraid of advertisements warm on the platform.
It seems that there will be no ads in the content intended for children. Netflix has told its partners that it will not display commercials on original children’s programs. According to the company’s agreements, it is not possible to enter advertisements during the display of some licensed content.
Netflix may also think that ads for children will bring more trouble than its revenue. In 2019, Google had to pay a $170 million fine for collecting information from children on YouTube, within the framework of laws aimed at protecting children.
