Continuing its activities in the shadow of US sanctions, Huawei’s Mate series was achieving significant sales success all over the world before it was blacklisted. However, after the restrictions, the company lost its market share to a large extent and naturally the sales figures of the series fell. As of today, the Chinese manufacturer is trying to heal the wounds caused by the sanctions with various solutions.
Huawei will soon launch the Mate 50 series, which has been on the agenda for a long time. The launch date of the smartphones, whose designs and key technical features were leaked before, has now been announced.
When will the Huawei Mate 50 series be introduced?
Struggling with the sanctions that started to be implemented in 2019, Huawei wants to break the vicious circle by achieving significant sales successes with the Mate 50 series. The manufacturer, which is trying to produce solutions for issues such as 5G support and Google integration, will probably not be able to include these features in its upcoming flagship phones.
Huawei recently announced the launch date of the Mate 50 series from the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. Accordingly, the series will be presented to users on September 6th. As it is known, previous reports showed September 7th. It is alleged that the company made such a decision due to the iPhone 14 promotional event on September 7.
The company most recently appeared in front of users with the Mate 40 series in 2020. It bypassed the Mate 50 family for many reasons, including continued US sanctions in 2021. In addition, it is a matter of curiosity whether smartphones will come to global markets. But either way, a Chinese event will be held first. A global launch will follow later. Finally, due to Leica’s agreement with Xiaomi, the series will be the first flagship family since the P8 and Mate 8 family that does not bear the signature of the lens manufacturer.
