Search giant Google has released an urgent update for its Chrome browser. Version 104.0.5112.102/101 for Windows and 104.0.5112.101 for macOS/Linux closes a very serious zero-day vulnerability that is being actively exploited by hackers.

The vulnerability, reference number CVE-2022-2856, was discovered by security experts Ashley Shen and Christian Resell of the Google Threat Analysis Group. The vulnerability assigned a high severity level allows it to execute arbitrary code on the victim’s computer through malicious sites.
Fifth serious vulnerability this year
CVE-2022-2856 was recorded as the fifth serious security vulnerability in Google Chrome this year. The released update fixes 10 more vulnerabilities with severity ranging from “critical” to “moderate”. Therefore, it is useful to upgrade your browser to the new version immediately.
Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen to update the Google Chrome browser. You can manually install the update right away by going to Help > About Google Chrome from the drop-down menu.
