Despite the decline in the NFT market, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) made an NFT sale worth $1.4 million.
NFT sales figures have fallen steadily each month after peaking with over 1 million sales in January. In August, the 12-month low of July is about to be left behind. Despite the decline, BAYC continues to sell at high prices.
$1.4M NFT Sale from BAYC
NFT manufacturer Bored Ape Yacht Club has made an NFT sale of 777 Ethereum (ETH), or approximately $1.4 million.
Describing himself as an investor, Vis.eth said he bought NFT because he wanted to “own a golden monkey.”
Although the new sale is well below the highest value BAYC has ever sold ($3.4 million NFT sold at Sotheby’s auction), it stands out due to the fact that it took place despite the current conditions of the NFT market, whose trading volume has decreased significantly in major markets in recent months.
Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs are often sold for much lower prices. CryptoSlam website shows that the average selling price of BAYC NFTs was $115,000 last week, with a minimum price of 78.5 ETH.
