As high temperatures around the world continue to be felt more and more each year and increase in severity, this brings with it a serious problem such as skin cancer. In the United Kingdom, which has experienced the biggest heat wave of recent years, an exemplary project has been launched to raise awareness about this issue.

In the project initiated by Melanoma United Kingdom, which plays an active role in the fight against melanoma, one of the skin cancer types, the foundation prepared posters with articles describing the dangers of ultraviolet light when exposed to it. The posters that clearly showed information, especially under the sunlight, were as follows:

The colors in the prints made on specially produced ultraviolet paper changed color when exposed to ultraviolet light. Some of the warning texts that became visible with the posters changing color were as follows:

“UV exposure has a hidden consequence.”

“If you’re exposed to as much UV as this poster, you’re increasing your risk of developing skin cancer.”

“Sunlight puts you at risk of developing skin cancer.”

Each poster reads, “Exposure to UV rays, even on a cloudy day, is a risk factor for developing skin cancer. Enjoy the sun safely with shade, clothing, and sunscreen.” There was a warning. Launched in the UK, this campaign has garnered worldwide attention.
