The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has accused an Ohioan of being part of a Bitcoin ponzi scheme.

The CFTC sued him for demanding $12 million in Bitcoin from his customers.

CFTC Fights Scams

According to the complaint made by the CFTC, the fraudster has also adopted a very luxurious lifestyle. This name has allegedly requested at least 10 Bitcoins from its customers.

Rathnakishore Giri and its affiliated companies NBD Eidetic Capital, LLC and SR Private Equity, LLC are accused of illegally collecting and misusing funds from their clients.

CFTC official Kriston Johnson used the following statements on the subject:

“Giri company capitalized on its passion for digital investment opportunities and deceived unscrupulous investors with promises of exceptional returns without the risk of loss. The company thus obtained over $12 million in cash and Bitcoin.”

According to the complaint filed by the regulator, the defendants have been demanding money from their clients to invest in digital mutual funds since March 2019. Giri and other companies affiliated with it are also accused of making false statements against their customers.
