Lightning Network application Strike has announced a new Visa Card, where crypto money payments can be made.

Cryptocurrency is still not officially recognized as a currency or a means of payment in all countries. However, countries and applications that use crypto money in the global economy are increasing. If you’re not in El Salvador and can’t pay with Bitcoin, collaborations like Strike’s Visa Card deal are needed.

Strike Offers Rewards to Those Who Spend with Visa Card

Crypto payment app Strike, built on the Lightning Network, has announced a new Visa card that will offer spending rewards. The company, which made the announcement via Twitter, said that they can “take Strike anywhere and earn rewards on their daily spending.”

According to Strike’s statements, with this Visa agreement, it will be possible to easily pay, receive, buy, transfer or receive salaries in Bitcoin. At the same time, it will be possible to shop at no additional cost on platforms such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Announced in cooperation with the US-based financial company Visa, the new card will allow users to earn rewards in crypto payments. The new card will be available first on the waiting list. Although it was stated that an instant reward would be earned while spending, the amount of the reward was not disclosed by the company.

Strike states that a 1% tax on all earnings from Visa Card will be donated to the development of the open source network. According to the company, this is explained as follows:

“Putting our money where our ideology is is an attempt to further accelerate Bitcoin adoption, as with the Lightning Network.”
