Microsoft’s cloud service OneDrive is getting ready to appear with its renewed design as it celebrates its 15th anniversary. OneDrive, which has a more modern and intuitive design, offers its users the tasks they want to do both in categories and brings a faster use with quick access options.
OneDrive is now much more functional
When you enter the renewed OneDrive, OneDrive Home welcomes you instead of the My Files tab. Just like in Office 365 online, you’ll see quick access tabs on the left and some of your files on this screen and you’ll be able to edit them. On the other hand, when you are on the OneDrive Home screen, it will be possible to filter your files according to their types as Word, Excel, PDF and PowerPoint.
Also, on this screen, there is the Activity column, which shows that someone has left a comment, tagged you, or shared a file with you. On the left side of the OneDrive home page, there is a quick access section, as in Windows.
The design of the close menu in Windows 11 is changing
Along with all these innovations, the OneDrive mobile application also brings the Stories feature we know from Instagram. This feature is only available in Australia for now, but will roll out to other regions later in the year. On the other hand, other innovations coming to OneDrive are not available for now. Instead of giving a clear date, Microsoft has announced that it will roll out the new OneDrive “in the coming months”.
