NVIDIA has announced new cloud-based services and tools to enable companies to enter the world of the metaverse. Aiming to facilitate digital avatar and content creation, the NVIDIA Omniverse Avatar Cloud Engine reflects the company’s goals for the metaverse.
Creating realistic avatars with the Omniverse Avatar Cloud Engine
NVIDIA announced the Omniverse Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE) as part of the SIGGRAPH 2022 event. Avatar Cloud Engine, which makes it possible to create highly realistic virtual assistants and digital humans; It will be used in multiple industries such as gaming, entertainment, banking and transportation.
NVIDIA says it’s now possible to create “highly realistic, fully interactive avatars” under ACE. He also underlined that digital assistants understand multiple languages, respond to conversations and interact with the environment.
The company currently has two projects, Maxine and Tokkio, based on the ACE service. Maxine combines online collaboration and content production applications with cutting-edge video and audio functionality. Tokkio, on the other hand, focuses on avatars that communicate and offer suggestions for service industry environments such as restaurants.
“NVIDIA ACE brings together many sophisticated artificial intelligence technologies, allowing developers to create digital assistants that are well on their way to passing the Turing test,” said Rev Lebaredian, Vice President of Omniverse and Simulation Technology at NVIDIA.
Earlier, Epic Games revealed a similar project in MetaHuman, which developed with the support of Unreal Engine. NVIDIA is challenging Epic Games by creating digital assistants and realistic avatars. These avatars are intended to facilitate the transition to the metaverse.
