Intel has announced the release of its Arc Pro A-series GPUs. The latest series includes the Intel Arc Pro A30M, A40 and A50 models.

These three products come with built-in ray tracing hardware, machine learning capabilities, and an “industry first” AV1 hardware encoding acceleration. The A30M GPU will be available for mobile form factors, while the other two will be used in workstations.

The Intel Arc Pro A40 is aimed at thin workstations or small form factor PCs and will be in a single-slot form factor with 3.5 teraflops of graphics power, eight ray tracing cores and 6GB of GDDR6 memory. The Intel Arc Pro A50 is aimed at traditional workstations and will be in a dual-slot form factor with 4.8 teraflops of graphics power, eight ray tracing cores and 6GB of GDDR6 memory.

The Intel Arc Pro A30M GPU targets mobile phones and laptops and offers 3.5 teraflops of graphics power, eight ray tracing cores and 4GB of GDDR6 memory. In addition, the A40 and A50 workstation GPUs will also feature four Mini DisplayPorts for multi-monitor configurations. The new Arc A40 and A50 are considered workstation versions of the existing Arc A380 game card.

At this time, it is not known exactly when the latest Arc Pro series GPUs optimized for media and entertainment applications such as Blender will hit the market. Intel says this will happen later this year, and the products will be available for sale by mobile and desktop partners.
