Intel has officially announced the Arc Pro series of graphics cards for desktop and mobile computers. The Alchemist-based Arc Pro series is designed to provide entry-level solutions for desktop and laptop workstations. The first models of the series were launched as Arc Pro A50 and A40 on the desktop, and Arc Pro A30M on the laptop side.

Intel Arc Pro graphics card specifications

Arc Pro A50, the most powerful model of the introduced series, is shaped on the ACM-G11 GPU. Offering 4.8 teraflops of graphics power, the chip has 8 hardware-based ray tracing cores. The Arc Pro A40 also has 6GB of GDDR6 memory. These memories are running at 16 Gbps with a bandwidth of 192GB/s. The TDP value of the video card is announced as 75W. The Arc Pro A40 has exactly the same features, the only difference being that it comes with 4GB of GDDR6 memory. Similarly, the Arc Pro A30M, designed for laptops, has the same features as the Pro A50, but the memory bandwidth is determined as 128 GB / s in this model.

All three GPUs have hardware-based ray tracing and AV1 hardware accelerator. So they were designed with AI and content creator apps like Adobe Premiere Pro in mind. However, the Arc Pro A50 and A40 have four DP 1.4 mini ports. All graphics cards support two monitors at 8K 60Hz, one at 5K 240Hz, two at 5K 120Hz, and four at 4K 60Hz.

Can I play games with Intel Arc Pro graphics cards?

You can technically play games with these graphics cards, but they are not designed for gaming. Cards that are not optimized for gaming on a driver basis are instead optimized for professional tasks and content creator applications such as Blender, HandBrake, Adobe Pro. Intel Arc Pro graphics cards will begin to appear in desktop and laptop solutions from the end of this year.
