Popular messaging platform WhatsApp continues to gain new features. WhatsApp, which introduced the ability to react to messages with emoji a while ago, is now working on Status Reactions. The ability to react to situations with emojis is thought to be similar to Stories on Instagram.
How to use WhatsApp Status Reactions?
Meta frequently transfers features between its social media platforms. The latest innovation, which appeared in WhatsApp beta Android 2.22.17.24 version, seems to have been copied from Instagram. The messaging app will now make it possible to react to Statuses with emoji.
WhatsApp, which added emoji reactions to chat messages a while ago, is testing a similar capability for Statuses. To react to Statuses, just like on Instagram, simply click the reply button and then tap the emoji you want.
The new feature, seen in WhatsApp beta Android 2.22.17.24, presents the eight most popular emojis for now. However, it is thought that more options will be added over time. For now, it is unclear how the reactions with emoji will look.
Reactions to Stories on Instagram are seen as a small notification in the messaging section. It is possible to say that it will be similar to this in WhatsApp and will allow to start a new conversation.
The new feature is currently only being tested among beta users for Android. It is unclear for now when it will be made available to iOS or the stable app. However, we think that it will not be kept waiting too long as it expands the messaging capability.
