Elon Musk urges Twitter CEO to debate about bots
Elon Musk, who decided to unilaterally terminate the Twitter acquisition agreement, may not want the board to sue. Making a statement to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, Musk wants to discuss the accuracy of the spam/bot account percentage on the platform.
Saying that he withdrew from the $44 billion Twitter deal last month, Elon Musk claimed that he measured the number of bots on Twitter using an algorithm. He thinks the number of fake accounts on the platform is more than 10 percent.
In a series of statements he made on Twitter, Musk wanted to accept that the number of bots is higher as a percentage. The Tesla CEO also thinks Twitter investors should take action against this fallacy.
In his call, he said, “I invite the Twitter CEO to a public discussion about Twitter bot percentage. Let Twitter prove to the public that it has less than 5% fake or spammy users daily!” said.
Despite canceling the deal, we don’t know why the Tesla CEO is still making a statement about Twitter. The Twitter bot account issue is dangerous to social media security, so it’s curious to have it on Musk’s radar.
