While there are numerous fraud methods carried out via phones, a new one has been added to these methods. When a businessman residing in Beylikdüzü answered a call from a number he did not know, he was told that his personal information was spread on the internet and that they would disturb him even though they did not do what they wanted.
After a few hours at the house of the person who was arguing with the people, payment orders started to arrive at the door. Due to the orders received until the morning hours, the victim reported the situation to both the food websites and the public prosecutor’s office and filed a criminal complaint. The victim videotaped the orders coming to his house with his mobile phone as evidence.
‘He sent me all my information’
The person explained the situation as follows: “On the 25th of the month, someone called me during the daytime, from a secret number, and spoke to me with threats and abusiveness. He mentioned a gambling and gaming site, I couldn’t understand what it was. He said he had all my confidential information and sent all my information to me. I hung up the phone, not caring too much. ”
They said, “From now on, we will disturb you a lot and we will make our wishes known.” I slept after that. When I got up for the morning prayer, I received a call from 1 am to 1:30 am. So I called in the morning prayer, I said who are you and what do you want. They replied to me saying ‘wrong number’. I said the wrong number wouldn’t call for that long. This is what they told me: they said that they have my addresses on gaming and gambling sites and that they have the personal information of many people like me. ”
“The orders have arrived, the phone number they give the orders to the house does not belong to me, but the address belongs to me. Harassment by sending food orders continues since the 25th. I filed a criminal complaint with the Büyükçekmece Public Prosecutor’s Office. Since one of the callers called me with his own number, his own number also appeared. They always send food orders to my house. Order is coming in my name or someone else’s name using my address. This goes on until morning. ”
