The United States of America (USA) announced the non-farm employment data for July. US non-farm employment data was announced as 528,000, above expectations. This number was the highest level in 6 months. Economists had expected the increase to be 250 thousand.
In July, unemployment in the country fell to 3.5 percent, while the number of unemployed fell to 5.7 million. In the same period, average hourly earnings increased by 0.5 percent on a monthly basis, exceeding the 0.3 percent expectation. Annually, average hourly earnings increased by 5.2 percent.
