The highly anticipated AM5 socket motherboards are slowly coming to light. As part of AMD’s special event, Asus, MSI and Gigabyte introduced their high-end X670E motherboards.

As part of the AMD Meet The Expert event, many manufacturers showcased their specially designed high-end motherboards. The new flagship-grade motherboards aim for the ultimate for users.

High-end motherboards based on X670 Extreme chipsets with AM5 socket were showcased at the event, while mid-range and entry-level AM5 motherboards were not mentioned. All X670E motherboards on display feature the new AM5 socket, which comes with AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series processors. Motherboards that offer PCIe Gen5 support and optional Gen5 support for next-generation motherboards are naturally not available at the moment.

On the other hand, none of the companies have announced the maximum supported DDR5 memory speed of these cards. We do not know if there is still a confidentiality agreement with the chips, but it could be.

Asus X670E motherboards

Asus has showcased the ROG Crosshair X670E Hero and X670E Extreme cards. Asus’ X670E Extreme card has 5 M.2 slots (four of which support PCIe 5.0 x4), two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and 6 Sata 6 Gbps ports. While there are 2 USB 4 and 9 USB 3.2 Gen 2 on the back panel of the motherboard, there are USB 3.2 connections with Quick Charge 4+ support on the front panel.

Gigabyte X670E motherboards

As part of the event, Gigabyte unveiled four X670E motherboards, including its flagship Xtreme and Master series. The company also introduced the Aorus Pro Ax and Aorus Elite Mx series here. There are 4 PCIe 5.0 supported M.2 connections and 6 Sata 6 Gbps connections on the card. Offering a total of 21 USB ports, the card has four DDR5 slots.

MSI X670E motherboards

MSI, on the other hand, showcased the MEG Godlike design for the first time here. While MSI showcased the Meg X670E Ace and Meg X670E Godlike cards, it also introduced the X670E Carbon, a slightly cropped version of them. The most powerful of the family, the Meg X670E Godlike model has four Gen5 M.2 slots. Attracting attention with its three PCIe Gen5 x16 expansion slots, the card also makes a difference in terms of design.
