Steam, which hosts millions of users worldwide, shared the results of the Hardware and Software Survey for July. The list includes the usage rates of the graphics card, processor and operating systems.

AMD is on the rise again

Looking at the survey, AMD, which continued to capture Intel’s market share for a long time, but experienced a decline in June, managed to increase its usage share to 33.73% as of July. Intel, on the other hand, dropped to a 66.26% usage share from 68.47%, compared to its rival’s 2.21% rise.

If we move on to the GPU side, Nvidia’s leadership continues with a rate of 76.19%. The second name following Nvidia is AMD with a share of 14.64%, while Intel users make up 8.96%. However, the top 5 of the list include GTX 1060, GTX 1650, GTX 1050Ti, RTX2060 and RTX 3060 (mobile) graphics cards. The most preferred models in July are RTX 3060 (mobile) and GTX 1050 Ti, respectively.

On the operating system side of the survey, Windows users make up a huge portion of 97.03%. Among these, Windows 11 had a total share of 21.12% with a decrease of 0.11%, while the number of users of Windows 10 increased by 1.91% to 73.17%. It seems that many users will continue to prefer Windows 10 for a long time in the face of the newness of Windows 11 and its demanding system requirements.
