Nomad Works with Law Enforcement to Solve Hack Attack

Blockchain security company PeckShield said that $9 million, equivalent to 4.75% of the total loss, was returned in the hack attack. Most of the money returned from multiple addresses (3.78 million USDC and 2 million USDT) are stablecoins.

Increasing its power to track down the attackers, Nomad first called on “white hat hackers” and “ethical researchers” to return the funds via Twitter.

The statement on Twitter reads:

“We are actively working with a leading blockchain analytics firm and law enforcement to track funds. Everyone involved is ready to take the necessary measures in the coming days.”

It is not yet known whether the hacking attack was carried out by a single person or by more than one person. According to the first data about the attack, it is stated that the transactions in the Blockchain data may have been made by giving the appearance of more than one attacker. Cryptocurrency Anchorage Digital will handle and protect the returned assets while solutions are devised for the issue.
