Xiaomi is actively testing MIUI 14, the next firmware update based on Android 13, and will be rolled out to Android 12 users with reduced features. MyDrivers portal has published screenshots and descriptions of new features available in MIUI 14 22.7.19 beta.

The text recognition function appeared in the “Gallery” settings. It will allow you to copy text from any image, just like on iOS. Another new addition is push notifications that show photos you took on the same day a few years ago. If desired, new features can be disabled from the settings.
When will MIUI 14 be released?
It also comes with support for Bluetooth LE Audio, making it easy to switch between audio sources. Improvements have also been made for protection against scammers: the system will give warnings about suspicious calls, messages and applications. The rest of the changes are announced as a redesigned interface for notifications, Assistant, and the clock.
MIUI 14 is expected to be presented alongside Xiaomi 13 in November. A list of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco devices that will receive this update has also appeared before.
