Fortnite, which includes the leading characters of almost all popular movies, series and games today and increases this number even more, has been on the agenda with another gossip recently. Especially the communities formed by Fortnite fans and followers began to share the future of The Last of Us characters in the game.
After a few days of new rumors, a statement came today that denied these allegations. Moreover, the statement was shared directly by Neil Druckmann, co-chairman of the game’s developer, Naughty Dog. Druckmann responded to a tweet from Fortnite fans on the subject on Twitter, denying the allegations as follows:
“There are no plans for this”
“I love Fortnite, but there are no plans for it. False rumor.”
After Druckmann’s statement, the main tweet that the president replied to was also removed from the share by its owner. In that post made by Shiina, one of the names well-known in the Fortnite world, it was stated that the characters would be added to the game, and that the source of the information was ‘almost 100% reliable’.
After this incident, Shiina shared a lengthy statement, apologizing to her followers for her false claim about the combination of Fortnite and The Last of Us. With this event, it has been confirmed firsthand that at least The Last of Us characters will not be added to Fortnite.
