Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors are expected to be introduced next October. As the new architecture is approaching, the performance difference between DDR4 and DDR5 memory of Intel Core i7-13700K, which is now appearing on benchmarking platforms, has been shared.

DDR5 memory can offer up to 20 percent performance boost

Displayed on Geekbench with 8 performance, 8 efficiency, and a 24-track core structure, Intel i7-13700K was tested with both DDR4-3600 and DDR5-5200 memories. However, the DDR4 installation achieved 2090 points in single core and 16542 points in multi-core, while the results were measured as 2069 and 19811 on the DDR5 side, respectively.

According to the shared results, we can say that the DDR5 memory change has improved the Geekbench score by about 20 percent. However, there is a slight decrease in single core performance. To remind you, on the Intel i5-13600K, which appeared in previous leaks, this difference was around 11 percent. However, there may be discrepancies between synthetic benchmark tests and gaming performance of the new processors.
