It seems that a new dead end is on the way for the smartphone world, which is in a constantly turbulent period. As time passes over a smartphone, companies will feel less and less responsible for providing support. However, things have been different lately. According to today’s news, Xiaomi is completely cutting support for many devices. Here are the details!

Xiaomi cuts after-sales service for seven models

Unlike Android’s inception, Android OEMs today tend to provide long software support. In the absence of this trend, companies lose many users. In this regard, many OEMs provide long-term support for both hardware and software parts.

Xiaomi, which is among these companies, is among the brands that do a good job in after-sales support and software for smartphones. The company is rolling out updates for numerous Xiaomi smartphones and Redmi devices. However, today the company is completely cutting off its after-sales service and support for Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, Redmi 6 Pro and other devices.

The company officially announced that the service for these devices has been stopped. Accordingly, there are seven Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones that will no longer receive official maintenance and after-sales service. According to the company’s statement, the devices that will not receive any support are as follows:

  • Mi Max 3 (5G)
  • Xiaomi Mi Discovery Edition (transparent)
  • Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 (5G)
  • Xiaomi Mi Play
  • Xiaomi Redmi S2
  • Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro

According to the company’s announcement, the manufacturer will no longer supply spare parts for after-sales service. There is also the issue of maintenance supplies exceeding the legal lead time. Therefore, Xiaomi after-sales services will not provide you with maintenance and after-sales services.

In addition to all this information, it should be noted that most of the models were released in 2018. Also, according to emerging reports, while some users are waiting for MIUI 13.5, Xiaomi is busy with the development of MIUI 14.
