The electronic system of the Turkish Grand National Assembly was renewed after 23 years. Parliament was informed that it is ready to start the new legislative year within the scope of the renewals.

27. It has been announced that the work on the General Assembly Hall of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, which was renovated before the 5th Legislative Year of the Term, has come to an end. The Assembly, which took a break from its activities on July 17, will resume work as of Friday, October 1, if there is no disruption in the plan.

Before the new period, the electronic voting and polling system of the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, which has been in service since 1998, has been completely renewed on the grounds that it fills its term of service and no longer meets the needs. As part of the renewal, the entire electronic infrastructure of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey was changed and made suitable for the latest technology. Electronic components were laid on the floor of the General Assembly for the infrastructure of the new system of the Assembly, which will come into effect.

Everything is state-of-the-art:

In the new system; deputies must be fingerprinted in accordance with the system. In order to take fingerprints, stands were set up in the backstages of the government and opposition within the framework of the rules of the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, computers and charging connection units were placed in the seats of deputies.

After the system, which was renewed after 23 years, everything that was distributed on paper, although it was the agenda of the Parliament, will now be displayed electronically on digital screens in the parliamentary desks.

The assembly will broadcast in HD:

Informing the public about all the work in the Assembly, TBMM TV will also serve with its technical infrastructure, which has been completely renewed in the new legislative year. Parliament TV, which has been renovated from the General Assembly cameras to the director and studio; It will broadcast in HD to those who watch the work of the new term Parliament.

Two led screens were placed on both sides of the Presidency Council of the Assembly, where the meetings will be transmitted live. The name, surname and province of the speaker can be followed on these screens.

In the Assembly, whose sound system was completely renewed, a control room for technical experts was built in the section under the press box of the Incoming Assembly Hall. Another innovation is the placement of a license plate recognition system at the entrances in order to control the vehicles entering the Parliament area.
