Cryptocurrency exchange CryptoCom has received regulatory approval from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). This approval will help the exchange strengthen its presence in Europe.

Crypto.com Gets Approval from Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission

Cyprus’ securities and exchange commission, CySEC, has granted the necessary regulatory approval for Crypto.com, which has more than 50 million users worldwide. Crypto.com has previously received approval in principle for registration from the Greek Securities and Exchange Commission, registration from Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM) in Italy, and Major Payment Institution License from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

With this approval, Crypto.com will begin to offer many products and services to its customers in Cyprus in accordance with local regulations.

On the subject, Kris Marszalek, Crypto.com Co-Founder and CEO, said:

“Europe is a priority region for Crypto.com and our continued expansion in the market is a testament to our commitment to compliance and cooperation with regulators. The next important step in our continued progress as we expand our products and services to more customers is our registration in Cyprus”

Meanwhile, the exchange had previously received approval for a Virtual Asset License from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority.
