In the article titled “Minecraft and NFTs” published on the company’s blog, the game studio under the Microsoft umbrella, “NFT integration into Minecraft is not something we generally support or allow” statements were used.

In the post shared by the company, “To ensure that Minecraft players have a secure and inclusive experience, blockchain applications will not be allowed to be integrated into client or server applications, and worlds, costumes, person items or other mods in Minecraft are created with blockchain technology to produce limited digital assets. won’t be allowed.” it was said.
Mojang also stated that some companies offer Minecraft-related worlds and packages as NFTs. A striking point in the company’s statement was that, at least theoretically, sets can be created in which NFT can be earned in exchange for activities done in Minecraft.
While Mojang states that digital constraints and excluding people are not in line with Minecraft values, they also oppose the scenario where any in-game thing is on one player and not on the other. According to the firm, NFTs also run the risk of promoting profiteering in the game.
Another company that opposed NFTs was Valve. The firm has stated that it will not allow NFTs and blockchain games on its gaming platform, Steam. While the player communities were not very warm towards NFTs, Ubisoft also ended the NFT project it started for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The Epic Games Store, on the other hand, is not against NFTs.
