The release of the Cybertruck model of Tesla, one of the largest automotive companies in the world, turned into a snake story. The company introduced its vehicle in 2019 and stated that it would launch it in 2021. However, the model was subject to many delays in the ongoing process. Tesla CEO Elon Musk put an end to this obscurity.
Elon Musk: “Cybertruck is coming in the middle of next year”
Tesla is undoubtedly the best in the electric car world. The company closed last year with record success. In addition to these, the highly anticipated Cybertruck was also to be introduced last year. However, the release date of the vehicle, which has been delayed many times, was announced by the CEO of the company.
During a call to investors, Elon Musk outlined the history of the Cybertruck in the electric pickup truck model. The businessman stated that they will start deliveries of the vehicle in the middle of next year. Tesla said that its vehicle, which was introduced in 2019, will be released in 2021. Later, it was decided that the vehicle, which was delayed for another year, will be on the roads in the first quarter of 2022.
However, there was a change in the order page in January. The design section of the company’s official page previously included the phrase “You will be able to complete your configuration as production approaches in 2022”. This statement has been removed with the subsequent update. This has been the most important statement from the company since then.
The reason for these delays is not known exactly, but it is thought to be one of the biggest factors of the global chip shortage that affects the whole world. So much so that last year, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, replied to a user’s request to update the release date on Twitter that Tesla was grappling with a “supply chain nightmare”.
