According to the information received, the depth camera will be removed on the Galaxy A54, A34 and A24 smartphone models next year. Instead, there will be a triple camera in the form of the main sensor, ultra-wide sensor and macro sensor. The main sensor will be 50MP, while the macro sensor will be 5MP. It is stated that Samsung will always use it. The ultra wide-angle sensor will change to 8MP at the top levels and 5MP at the bottom levels.
Samsung expects to sell around 60 million Galaxy A smartphone models next year. Thus, there will be a significant gain on the cost side. We are already seeing that smartphone manufacturers are gradually removing the depth sensor in certain models.
