Popular social media platform Instagram launched the ability to buy things in direct chat earlier in July. Now, the company is making a Google Maps-like update to the app’s map.
You can now sell products in messages on Instagram
Instagram has updated its map to help you find popular places around you
The new Instagram map will support searches and filters, allowing users to search for restaurants, attractions and other highlights directly in the app instead of just seeing where a photo was posted. As long as your profile is public, using location stickers on posts and Stories will add that content to search results on the new map.
This new map supports hashtag searches and offers tagged locations in Stories to explore by tapping. You can also type the name of an organization, city or neighborhood directly on the Discover page and see the results on the map.
