Xiaomi has accelerated its steps to enter the electric car world. A release date has been given for the Chinese manufacturer’s first electric car. Allegedly, Xiaomi will unveil its first car prototype just a month later, in August.

A Chinese source, Sina Tech, claimed to have important information about Xiaomi’s first car. We can see the first model of Xiaomi Auto next August as part of the launch to be held by Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun.
In fact, we know that Xiaomi has already entered the automobile world. A while ago, it registered the Xiaomi Auto brand and transferred hundreds of employees to this company. With the new leak, the introduction date for the first official prototype of Xiaomi Auto has also emerged.
Based on the concept of a Chinese design firm, HVST Automobile Design, the new Xiaomi model will begin driving tests after its August launch. Allegedly, the electric vehicle will be driven in different road conditions, including winter tests.
Let’s say that Xiaomi is quite ambitious about the price. RMB 150k to 200k ($22k to $29k) for A+ level vehicles; The B+ category, on the other hand, was claimed to be between RMB 200,000 and 300 thousand ($29,000 to $44,000).
Xiaomi Auto, which started its work last year, aims to produce 150 thousand vehicles per year in the first stage and to take the first model off the production line in 2024.
The R&D team employs more than 1000 people and this number is planned to increase after the August launch. The Chinese manufacturer is expected to launch 4 different models in the first stage.
