Season 4 of Stranger Things has come and gone, and it’s also on record as one of the best Stranger Things seasons ever. Long episodes, Eleven gaining her powers, finding out Hopper is alive, and of course, Eddie Munson… the Master of Puppets scene… may he rest in peace.
With the 4th season, there were discussions among the fans about the character of Will, who has been one of the main characters since the first season of Stranger Things. These debates were about whether the character Will was gay. Young actor Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, put an end to these controversies.
The character of Will in Stranger Things is gay, and it’s even obvious who he likes.
The actor who plays Will, Noah Schnapp, revealed in an interview that his character is gay and has feelings for his best friend Mike, who is in a relationship with Eleven. “He didn’t know because he was a kid but he’s grown up now. Now it’s 100% clear that he’s gay and he likes Mike.”
Finn Wolfhard, the lead actor who plays Schnapp and Mike, starred in a touching scene in season 4. As we see it, the two of them were discussing Mike’s relationship with Eleven, but meanwhile, Will was trying to tell his longtime friend in the subtext how he felt about her.
Schnapp said of the scene, “I remember when I was doing the scene, I was shouting as if I was stating the whole thing clearly. This scene was really important to Will because it really cemented the fact that he loved his best friend and didn’t know how to tell him.”
