The new feature Facebook is working on allows users to create up to 5 new profiles under one main account. You can think of this feature as Netflix’s profiles under a single main account. However, Facebook’s feature in the testing phase is users for slightly different purposes. Here, we are talking about 5 different profiles belonging to one user, not a second user.
What exactly will Facebook’s new feature do?
Facebook’s new feature in testing will allow account holders to “divide” their personalities. For example; You will be able to keep only your colleagues in a profile you have created and your closest friends in another profile, and you will be able to make your posts visible only to users in the categories you specify. Moreover, you will not need to use your real name in sub-profiles. You can only use your real name on your main account.
However, this does not mean that you can create a fake profile. According to the statements made by Facebook, the accounts will need to be consistent with each other. Moreover; If you happen to violate Facebook policies through a profile, your main account will also take its share. However, more specific features such as creating and managing pages will only be available through the main account.
