EA Games has made new decisions about some of BioWare’s games. The company announced that it will remove the payment system called BioWare Points from Origin. Thus, only DLCs that can be obtained with BioWare Points will be free. You can now get all the additional packages developed for Mass Effect and Dragon Age for free.
Mass Effect and Dragon Age DLCs are free
Electronic Arts has made the ambitious decision to make a lot of additional content absolutely free. According to an email sent to players and shared on Reddit, the company announced that BioWare Points will be shelved starting October 11.
Thanks to this decision, DLCs of two major games developed by BioWare will be available for free. Considering that both game series have been going on for years and have many DLC packs, the new decision will make players happy.
If you haven’t played BioWare games before, you might ask, what are BioWare Points? This service, which allows you to make digital payments on Origin, gives you the opportunity to purchase DLC for BioWare games. However, with its deactivation on October 11, you can now get additional packages without paying.
With the cancellation of the BioWare Points payment system, DLCs for Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 have also become free. Let us remind you that there is no time limit for these additional packages.
Multiplayer DLCs will continue to be paid. EA said that BioWare Points will be available for the next 90-day period. If you have enough points, it would make sense to get these multiplayer DLCs, as they will not be available after October 11th.
In fact, this change will not affect players in general. Because BioWare Points cannot be used in games like Dragonn Age: Inquisition and Mass Effect: Andromeda. The developer has made the switch to digital currencies like “Crystals” and “Platinum”.
