Celo Blockchain Network Has Stopped
Celo is an open-source blockchain protocol developed to use assets as well as payment solutions, enabling the use of smart contracts to develop decentralized applications (DApps). However, the project has faced critical problems for the past 24 hours. So much so that the network stopped at block 14,035,019 at 6:20 pm ET on Wednesday.
Looking at the official blockchain explorer, Celo’s PoS network was unable to verify new transactions for more than nine hours until block production was restored for a few minutes at 3:39 p.m. Thursday. But the chain stopped again at block 14,035,044.
In a recent statement on the subject, Celo stated that the network’s validators are working on a fix to bring the network online. However, the team has not yet disclosed the reason for the outage.
