Global warming will affect human life much worse in the near future, and people-oriented solutions are being worked on in general. MIT thinks it can prevent global warming from space.
balloon against global warming
The MIT Senseable City Lab believes the project to block solar radiation before it reaches Earth has the potential to completely reverse global warming.
In the project developed by climate engineers, balloons covered with a thin film layer are placed at the Lagrange point between the Earth and the Sun. At this point known as L1, the gravitational force and centrifugal force cancel each other out. Thus, the attraction on the subject is lost and the subject can stay in the same position for a long time.
Balloons placed at L1 can reflect 1.8 percent of the radiation, a level that can completely eliminate the effects of global warming. Balloons will be produced in space and placed easily. This is an important advantage. In addition, it is not harmful to nature and the cost is low. MIT is currently continuing the tests of the balloon project in the artificial space environment, but there is no information about when it will be ready.
