Unreal Engine 5 makeover for 21-year-old Max Payne
Max Payne, one of the legendary series of Rockstar Games, has been included in the rush of games prepared with Unreal Engine 5. The concept design, which showed how the first Max Payne, announced in 2001, would look with Unreal Engine 5, received great applause from the players.
A few months ago, the developer of the series, Remedy Entertainment, announced that it is working on a remake of Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. The players, who were very happy with this statement, crashed Remedy’s site.
A YouTube channel called TeaserPlay, which has come to the fore with its concept studies recently, has now described how Max Payne Remake will be passed through Unreal Engine 5. The Unreal Engine 5 concept trailer of the 21-year-old series received great praise from the players.
In the Max Payne Remake video, the main character wanders around the classic locations of the game. According to TeaserPlay’s description, special lighting technology Lumen (Global Illumination), Nanite and ray-tracing were used for the concept.
Also, the character of Max Payne was redesigned for the concept video. TeaserPlay stated that it was inspired by a mix of Sam Lake and James McCaffrey, who played the character of Max Payne in the movies.
It was stated that Max Payne 1 and 2, which will be developed with Remedy’s Northlight Engine game engine, will be financed by Rockstar. It was also guaranteed to be like Control developed by Remedy. This could be a sign that Rockstar won’t be like the previous Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy disaster.
