Netflix’s Stranger Things may end with its 5th season next year, but the series’ universe won’t seem to end with this final season.

Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer have formed a production company called Upside Down Pictures, and the company announced Wednesday that they will be developing several more projects for Netflix, including the “Stranger Things” spin-off.

Upside Down Pictures’ other projects include a live-action “Death Note” series based on Japanese manga and anime, and a series adaptation of Stephen King and Peter Straub’s novel “The Talisman.”

Netflix recently announced that the fourth season of Stranger Things has passed 1 billion watch hours. Thus, Stranger Things 4 became the second Netflix series to reach this milestone after the Korean TV series “Squid Game”, which watched 1.65 billion hours in its first month last year.

We can say that Netflix, which lost its income for the first time in years and decided to end many of its series, once again emphasized its trust in Stranger Things. It looks like the company plans to increase its investment in the success of Stranger Things and continue to work closely with the Duffer brothers for years to come.
