The Minecraft splash image in the game’s launcher now also features a pig wearing a golden crown. This is a nod to Technoblade’s Minecraft character, the royal pigman wearing a jeweled crown. The Minecraft team tweeted on Friday that the team were very sorry for the loss of Technoblade. He was a person who brought so much joy to the gamer community.
Technoblade was an extremely popular Minecraft publisher with over 13 million subscribers on YouTube and was part of the popular server Dream SMP. In a YouTube video posted last Thursday, Technoblade’s father read a message from the publisher and talked about the work that went into making this latest video while battling cancer. As of this writing, the video has over 54 million views.
