American automotive manufacturer Ford Motor Company recalled the 2022 Bronco SUV and Ranger pickup truck model due to an error. According to the complaints from Ford, people who own these models complain about the windshield of their cars.

They are also right to complain. It seems that the windshields of Ford Bronco and Ranger models are glued with gum because model owners fear that the windshield could be thrown out of the vehicle in a collision. Therefore, Ford decided to recall the vehicles.

More than 63,000 Ford cars recalled

39,063 Ford Broncos produced between December 8, 2021 and April 12, 2022 and 24,231 Ford Rangers manufactured between December 17, 2021 and April 12, 2022 have been recalled by the company. Ford considered ambient temperature and humidity, temperature settings during the bonding process, varnish thickness and many other variables, but was unable to come to a conclusion as to why windshields might separate.

The issue was first discovered in a customer’s Bronco in early April 2022, according to documents provided by the US’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Ford states that no accidents or injuries related to the problem have occurred.
