Meta, which rolled up its sleeves for a stable currency by keeping up with the rise of the crypto money world during its operations as Facebook, withdrew from the project after the great reactions. Meta, which has decided to continue with a crypto payment platform called Novi, is now closing this as well.
Novi cryptocurrency wallet shuts down
The Novi wallet was launched in order to form the basis of the company’s crypto money studies. When the project was shelved, it became a mobile payment wallet and started to support USDP stable money.
In the past months, Novi wallet has been integrated to make payments on WhatsApp. Meta planned to expand this Novi-supported mobile payment system to more countries during the year, but unfortunately that did not happen.
Since Meta wanted to focus on the metaverse world in the new period, it decided to finish the Novi project. Thus, the firm’s crypto money studies were put to an end. As a result, Novi wallet integration into the WhatsApp payment system was also left unfinished.
