If you have the latest beta version of WhatsApp installed, there is a new + sign when you press and hold your message. When you tap on this sign, you will be able to choose one of hundreds of emoji. This means more options for expressing yourself.
This feature, which is still under development, has not even been offered to WhatsApp beta testers. When Zuckerberg first announced the feature, their reaction was ridiculed by the addition of the new emoticons. This shows that adding new emoticons is not a surprise.
Telegram has 17 emoji for reactions. For additional reactions, it is necessary to subscribe to Telegram Premium. Many users find this number of emoji sufficient. However, WhatsApp will have more advantages over Telegram with its new step.
In addition to all these, WhatsApp is also doing different studies for reactions. One of these will make it easier to see who reacts to what to a photo or video.
