Red Bull has been intertwined with motorsports for years. The energy drink manufacturer also sponsors many teams in various branches of motorsports. At the same time, Red Bull, which has been racing in Formula 1 for a long time, is preparing to take this situation one step further.

A 1,100 hp Red Bull hypercar

Red Bull, which has been competing in Formula 1 for a long time with 4 teams and 5 drivers’ championships, aims to crown this success with a hypercar. The company will produce its own cars, as are its Formula 1 rivals Mercedes-AMG, Ferrari, Aston Martin and McLaren.

Red Bull gave the first clues about its new car with a post on Twitter the other day. The first information about the RB17, which has a hybrid V8 engine that produces 1,100 horsepower, came with this sharing. The production of the vehicle, which will have a seating arrangement for two people, will start in 2025.

Only 50 of these hypercars are planned to be produced, each worth approximately $6 million. Red Bull will provide various advantages to those who will buy this car. These benefits include access to the team’s simulators and track training.

Red Bull Racing CEO Christian Horner used the following statements about his new cars:

The RB17 is the first meeting of a car bearing the Red Bull brand with collectors. The RB17 is a package where we transfer everything we know about championship-winning Formula 1 cars into a two-seater track car that delivers exceptional levels of performance.

Red Bull technical director Adrian Newey will be responsible for the design of the car. Newey, who also has his signature on Aston Martin Valkyrie, has an important share in all of Red Bull’s F1 championships. It is stated that the Red Bull RB17 will have a carbon composite chassis and a body designed to take advantage of the ground effect like modern F1 cars.

Red Bull established its own engine manufacturing center after Honda’s withdrawal from Formula 1 earlier this year. Even though it still receives the support of Honda, Red Bull, which has entered the automotive industry well, may come up with different models in the coming years.

So what do you think about the RB17 signed by Red Bull? Do you think these cars will continue? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
